A lot of math…

This is probably going to seem incoherant, so bear with me. No, I am not drinking. =)

Okay, so I started off back in August at 219lbs. I lost a good amount pretty quickly. In October, though, I only lost 6 lbs. I did, however, tailgate and party one too many times. Life happens, birthdays, etc. Big deal, right? 6 lbs is six lbs.

I want to weigh 150lbs. Today, I am 194lbs. If I continue to lose only 6 lbs per month, it will take me 7 months to reach 150lbs. (REMEMBER: Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. are coming!!!) This means I will not be at my goal weight until MAY!!

However, if I lose 10 lbs per month, as I was able to do in the beginning of this ‘journey’, I will reach my goal weight by MARCH.

I think I need to stop thinking about the destination and focus on the journey. I also need to stop thinking abou big goals and focus on small ones. I want to be BELOW 190 by Thanksgiving. I’d like to be in the 180s. SHIT! I never thought I’d be under 200….and here I go.

Ok, sorry!

Definitely stay focused on the smaller goals. Looking at the big picture can sometimes get you down and then you crash. Remember everyday is a new day. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work and 150 will soon come your way!!!

yes smaller goals are great…and i should probably take that same advice because i always feel like i need to rush to lose weight when in reality i dont acre if it takes two years…if i were to ever get to my goal weight of 160 i would be soo happy…even if it took longer than 2 years id be happy….i just wanna know what it feels like ya know….to be normal…to go into a normal girls clothing shop and buy clothes that will fit me…to wear a bathing suit and not care…to wear sleeveless shirts and feel ok about it…grr….i dont care how long it takes i will one day do this and i need to stop telling myself its never gonna happen…cuz then thats what will happen…nothing will happen…you do the same and i bet we will rule!

It took me a year to lose 25 pounds, so don’t feel too bad. You are supposed to lose between 1/2 and 2 pounds a week. Losing it too fast will only make you weak and the longer is stays off the better habits you form. Hang in there for the journey as it is worth it. I still have 20 to go and am looking forward to it when it gets here.
